Can it be nine years already since I was introduced to Norah Jones? I've got to thank my daughter Simone for that. She gave us a copy of Norah's debut album "Come Away With Me" and I was immediately enchanted
Jones is the complete package: A singer-songwriter who plays the piano and guitar and has a sound all her own, though it's impossible to put her in a single genre of of jazz, blues or pop.
She's the daughter of Ravi Shankar, the Indian sitar player who was an influence on The Beates back in the day, but very much her own person. Little wonder that she's sold so many albums and won so many awards. Would love to see her in concert.
Here are two music videos for your listening/viewing pleasure.
"Don't Know Why" is the well-known monster hit, as 8.3 million YouTube views attest. But I like "Feeling The Same Way" just as much.
