Christian Louboutin is seeing red. A week after filing a trademark infringement lawsuit against Yves Saint Laurent, Louboutin is now going after Carmen Steffens of Brazil for the same thing: using red soles on their shoes. Louboutin has been soling its shoes in red since 1992 and had the practice trademarked in 2008. In a statement, Steffens says it has been using red since 1998 and finds it ”surprising that another brand is trying to reserve the rights to any color.” [Telegraph]
