Amsale Dishes on Kate Hudson’s Something Borrowed Wedding Gown

In Emily Griffin's Something Borrowed only one designer would satisfy demanding bride-to-be Darcy: Amsale. True to the book, our May cover girl Kate Hudson and crew headed to the famed New York boutique to film the big screen adaptation—and that meant a little construction. "We're on the mezzanine level, so they created an entire Park Avenue storefront," explained Amsale Aberra. Once the stunning façade was completed, the rest was left to the Ethiopian designer and the film's star. "I selected a few dresses and she walked around and chose her favorite," said Aberra. "It was literally like a bride shopping for her wedding." Hudson's pick: a dramatic beaded drop-waist gown aptly named "Celebrity." The tulle and organza Kenneth Pool design is available for $12,900 at the Manhattan Amsale Flagship Salon, and information on other stores carrying the style can be found at Amsale.com. "I can't wait to see it in the movie," said Aberra. Neither can we!
