F is for Fleetwood Mac

They were the quintessential band of the Seventies and Eighties, known for their range and their harmonies. So it was no surprise that Bill Clinton chose one of their songs, "Don't Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)," to be played at his inaugural ball.

Fleetwood Mac had at least two lives, beginning as an all-male group that focused on the blues and later enjoying its most success with a lineup that included Christine McVie on keyboards and the incomparable Stevie Nicks, with her one-of-a-kind vocals. Throw in guitarist Lindsey Buckingham, bassist John McVie and drummer/founding member Mick Fleetwood and you had the makings of a supergroup.

They had a run of hits -- "Sara," "Rhiannon," and "Landslide" -- that featured Nicks on vocals. This one, "Dreams," captured their smooth sound and is found on their concert DVD "The Dance."
