Via MGoBlue.com The Big Ten Conference Office announced Monday morning that redshirt sophomore slot receiver Roy Roundtree (Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison HS) of the University of Michigan football team shared the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor with Illinois running back Mikel Leshoure. The two players received the award after record-setting performances in the highest scoring conference game in league history, a 67-65 triple-overtime victory by the Wolverines over the Illini at Michigan Stadium (Saturday, Nov. 6).

Roundtree set a Michigan record for the most receiving yards in a game with 246 yards on nine receptions and scored two touchdowns against Illinois. He broke the oldest single-game record in school history, shattering the previous mark of 197 yards on 10 catches by Jack Clancy against Oregon State on Sept. 17, 1966. Roundtree's yardage total is the seventh most in conference play in league history.

In addition to the Big Ten Award, Roundtree was selected as the National Wide Receiver of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards.

Roundtree leads the Wolverines with 45 receptions for 656 yards and four touchdowns this season.
