Celebration turned to Mourning
Finnville High School in Michigan is currently undefeated and has had an awesome season this year. This is partly due to standout player Wes Leonard. Wes Leonard made a game-winning shot in overtime this past week. The fans stormed the court in celebration, but as they did Wes Leonard collapsed. Paramedics tried to do CPR at center court but rushed him to a local hospital for further treatment. Leonard eventually died at the hospital and the cause of death is still unknown. Finnville students are mourning the loss of a fellow student. The basketball team honored him in a unique way. The undefeated team made a bold move to only start 4 players for the game. They ended up winning the game and dedicated the win to Wes.
