Since Mongo's group ride has evolved from a spirited pace to an all out battle royale, I've had to modify my training accordingly so that I peak every Monday at 6pm. I call it my Carmichael-Puerto Training System. Here's how I do it in three easy steps.
1. (M-Sat.) Change nothing.
2. (Sun.) Ride my Mt. bike loaded down a heavy as possible.
3. (Mon.) Watch TV until about 3pm and then ingest/inject massive quantities of coffee, Rockstar, and truckstop speed.
