Jason Heyward

Jason Heyward is currently on the Atlanta Braves and his starting position is right field. Before all of this, Jason was 17 when he played for the GCL Braves. After GCL, he was called up to the Danville Braves and then to the Myrtle Beach Braves. He batted around .300 for all three teams and had successful careers with all of the teams. In 2009, Jason was named Minor League player of Year by USA Today and Baseball America. In spring training of 2010, Jason made two damaging hits over the fence. Jason hit one homerun that damaged a Coca-Cola truck and late he hit a homerun that damaged the car of a GM of Atlanta Braves. Jason had such a good spring training that the Atlanta Braves offered him a job in Right Field for the professional team. Jason Heyward accepted the offer and wore #22 for his friend that died in high school. On opening day for the Atlanta Braves, Jason Heyward went to the plate for the first time. Jason got his first hit in the majors off of Carlos Zambrano and it was a homerun over the right field fence. Jason also made history by being the fifth player in Braves history to hit a homerun in first at-bat. Jason has three homeruns in the six games played by the Atlanta Braves.
