Bass Fishing

The 2010 bass fishing season is on its way. The season starts at different times during the year depending on which state you are fishing in. No matter where you are the season usually starts with the spawn. The spawn is the time of year in which the female lays her eggs for the spring and guards them till they hatch. The spawn for bass in generally between 58 and 63 degrees. At Lake Newton, which is about 30-45 minutes away is a power plant lake, meaning that they use the water to cool the plant. The water is at about 75 degrees right now so the spawn was earlier, around the first week of march. I have not been over to Lake Newton but i have been talking to guys over there and they said they have bee slayin' them. I'm so ready for the St. Anthony Bass Fishing Team of 2010.
