The Time Machine
The Time Machine, by H.G. Wells, is a story about a time traveller who lives in the 19th century. The time traveller travels into the future into a land where the human species has evolved into 2 species, the Eloi and the Morlocks. Through these two species, Wells discusses and evaluates human characteristics and the evolution of society. He also discusses the long term effects of present-day actions. Through the course of the story, the time traveller learns of what happens to our society. His time machine is stolen by the Morlocks, and in order to recover it, he must find the courage and strength to overcome the deadly Morlocks.
