How to Train Your Dog!

Do you ever wish that your dog could do a bunch of cool tricks? Are you embarrassed that your dog doesn't even know how to sit on command? Well you might think it is the dog's fault, but it's not. It is your fault. If you follow a few simple steps your dog could be rolling over in no time!

1. Never scold your dog using his or her name!

-This only hurts his or her self-esteem therefore he or she will be harder to work with.

-If you need to scold say "Bad girl!" or "Bad boy!"

-NEVER under ANY circumstances hit your dog! Some people say "actions speak louder then words." Well I guarantee you that whoever came up with that quote's dog doesn't listen very well. Hitting your dog will make he or she fear you, not love you.

2. Be patient and know that your dog is trying.

-Never let your voice sound like you are frustrated, keep an even pleasant tone of voice.

3. ALWAYS praise your dog with a treat when they do something right.

-How will they know what they did was good if you show no change in emotion.

-It's not like they can speak English.

These are your basic rules for training your dog. I will post more blogs about particular tricks and how to train you dog to do them!
