For the Love of Chocolate

Chocolate Bread Pudding

1 tablespoon butter plus more for the pan
8 pieces of cinnamon bread
2 cups milk
3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar

  1. Butter a 9" x 9" pan. Toast the bread until crisp and tear into large pieces, about 5 per slice, and place in pan.

  2. In a medium saucepan heat milk, chocolate, and butter until chocolate has melted. Meanwhile mix together eggs, vanilla, and sugar. Add in the melted chocolate. Pour over the bread and put in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
