The Rules of Tennis

Tennis can be confusing at times, but when you know how to play the game it's a lot of fun! The score is very different: love=0, 15=1, 30=2, 40=3, and the whoever gets to 4 points first wins the game. You play the best of 6 games and that equals one set, when playing tennis you play the best of 2 out of 3 sets. When serving you get 2 serves to get it over each time. You must hit it over the net in the box diagonal from where you were serving, but if you hit the net it's called a let and you can reserve it. If you cross the white line near the end of the court both times while serving it is called a "doublefault", and the other team gets a point. You will switch after each point serving on the right, then left side.
It depends whether you are playing doubles or single, doubles meaning you play with 4 people, and singles meaning 2 people. If you are playing doubles you play with the alleys, therefore making the court bigger. The alleys are the long rectangles that go all the way across the court on both the left and the right sides, the alleys have white lines outlining them. You don't use the alleys when playing singles.
