During the winter at St. Anthony there is another sport going on besides basketball...believe it or not. That sport is wrestling and the numbers of the boys on the team has been going up every year for the past few years. Just 3 years ago there were only two members on the wrestling team: Jason Swanson and Cody Sandschafer. This year, a total of 30 people signed up for the team (but only about 20 people actually went out). In wrestling, it is not all about if you can be a team player and be interdependent--it is all individual. This sounds better to me than having to constantly be a team player.
This weekend there is going to be a wrestling match in Lawrenceville and we are currently covering almost every weight class for the varsity. Even though Lawrenceville is an hour and 45 minutes away it would be highly appreciated if some of the St. A students would come and cheer the wrestling team on. And, by the way, the meet starts at 9 a.m.
