Saturday, October 31 was the cross country sectional meet. Unfortunately this was the Bulldog's last meet. Even though we didn't make it to state as a team I think we ended the season well. Everyone had a great season! The race itself was pretty sloppy. There was mud flying everywhere and puddles all over the course. By the end of the race everyone was caked in mud. Because of the sloppy conditions the times weren't the best. The top 5 teams advance to the state meet next weekend as well as the top 7 individuals not on a qualifying team, though any individual placing in the top 10 automatically advances to state.
The girls team took 17th place, and I, Liz Wortman, took 6th individually. This cross country season was a very good one and was exciting for everyone. Though most of the runners are probably happy for no more practices which means no more exhausting repeat Mondays, you all have to admit that your at least a little sad. We will all especially miss our seniors next year. Now that the season has come to a close I hope everyone comes out next year and hopefully we'll even have some new additions to the team!
And yes, the shoes used to be white.
